Are you finding your no- decompression limits (NDLs) a limiting factor to dives? Do you have to ascend sooner than you would like?

As sport divers, planned decompression is not something that we do or have been taught. The TDI Decompression Procedures Course prepares you for planned staged decompression diving. With a maximum operating depth of 45 metres/150 feet, this course is your first step beyond the normal sport diving limits. The TDI Decompression Procedures Course combined with the TDI Advanced Nitrox course form the foundation of all other technical courses.

After these two courses and some additional experience, the stage has been set for you to move onto additional technical levels.

Who can take this course ?

You need to be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Be Certified as a TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver or equivilent OR be enrolled in the TDI Advanced Nitrox course. Advanced Nitrox and Decompression procedures can be conducted at the same time.

What will I be certified to do ?

You will be able to safely plan and conduct dives up to 45m using up to 100% oxygen to accelerate decompression (no limit).

This course is usually conducted in a twin back mounted configuration. To take this course in sidemount you will need to be able to demonstrate compentency as a technical format sidemount diver, or take the TDI Sidemount Diver program.

When do you run this course ?

Because of the relative complexity of running technical programs, we offer this on demand and will usually start a course with a minimum of two people. We usually have a number of enquiries at any given time, so would be able to start a course when you are ready to take it further.
