Rebreathers
Rebreathers are not new technology. In fact the first patent on a rebreather was made in France in 1808! They have seen active use throughout the 1930′s onwards and saw the miltary adopt them for frogman use in WW II and in later years. The units naturally have become more sophisticated over time and entered the recreational sport market in the late 1980′s.
Today we have access to some of the most sophisticated systems providing new standards in safety, performance, cost and accessibility.
The advantages of rebreather diving are clear. Efficient gas use means hours may be spent on a single fill regardless of depth, vastly increased NDL’s and shorter decompression times, silent running leads to a much closer interaction with wildlife underwater. And of course – no bubbles!
Dive Dive Dive leads the way in Queensland and Australian nationally as the only rebreather training facility offering sales, service and training on several rebreather units. With years of experience teaching students we are regarded as the local experts in this exciting branch of diving. Our own TDI Instructor Trainer Jason Blackwell, was the dive instructor for the blockbuster Cameron movie “Sanctum” which featured the VR Technologies Sentinel rebreather which we proudly supply.
The Dive O2ptima CCR has been with us from the start and we’re pleased to provide every level of training together with full service centre support and consumables.
We additionally supply and train divers on the unit which started the entire recreational CCR diving revolution, the AP Valves Inspiration range. The Inspirations are by far the biggest selling CCR unit worldwide and have evolved into various different rebreather options for all types of diving.
Each of our instructors and instructor trainers are specialised in their own CCRs including Innerspace System Corporation Pathfinders and Megalodons, Prism 2′s and amongst the first to dive the Hollis Explorer SCR. Kiss Classics, Kiss Sports, Dragers. We know rebreathers like nobody else.
From considering rebreather diving for the first time to needing support from the local experts to provide service, parts and consumables to your current unit – we’re here to help.
Drop by and have a friendly chat, give us a call or drop a line and we’re always more than happy to talk about diving the underwater world as it was meant to be – silent.
Thinking about a course ? Experience counts
Dive Dive Dive are pleased to offer sales, support and consumables for this fantastic unit. In addition we conduct both diver level and instructor level training. Unlike many instructors who have limited experience in diving CCRs as various training agencies rush to bring this to the wider market, we have been teaching this since release and have several years of a proven track record teaching rebreathers for over a decade.
We firmly believe that you should ask your instructor what their experience is with rebreathers and where their own diving is now. Not all instructors are the same and at his level of diving you should demand the best.
We currently teach to diver and instructor levels at basic, advanced and trimix level and are the most experienced in Queensland. A bold claim, but one we stand behind proudly. Our instructors are expedition level divers and explorers and technical trainers, so whether your looking at recreational level qualifications or beyond, we can take you there.
