SDI Solo Diver

One of SDI’s most popular courses, the SDI solo diver program teaches experienced recreational divers how to safely dive independently of a dive buddy or strengthen your buddy team skills. The course stresses on proper dive planning, personal limitations, accident prevention as well as the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for diving solo. You will also learn the additional equipment that is required for solo diving including it’s proper usage and assembly. This is the prefect course for underwater photography and underwater video divers.

We strongly recommend that divers also consider SDI Sidemount Diver to accompany this. It provides maximum flexibility to the travelling diver. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for diving solo.

You will complete solo dives under the supervision and the guidance your instructor and with at all times a redundant breathing supply. Your instructor will work with you to ensure you have a gear set up which is suitable for the course, but also suitable for your future solo diving plans.

Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may engage in solo diving activities.
