TDI NITROX DIVER

This is the entry level certification course for recreational divers wishing to utilise enriched air nitrox (EAN) as a breathing gas.  The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for using nitrox mixes from 22% to 40% oxygen content.

Pre-requisites:  Minimum age of 15, minimum of 10 logged dives and certification as a diver (this programme may be combined with the TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver Course).

Course consists of TDI Nitrox Diver Manual, 4 hour classroom session, TDI Certificate & C-Card, 2 dives using Nitrox under indirect supervision, provision of Nitrox & Air fills, use of custom Nitrox tables and all paperwork.

TDI ADVANCED NITROX DIVER

This course examines the use of EAN 21 through 100% (oxygen) for optimal mixes to a depth of 150fsw/45msw.  The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for utilising EAN 21 through 100% (oxygen) for dives not requiring staged decompression.  (Basic decompression techniques may be combined with this course at the discretion of the instructor).

Pre-requisites:  Minimum age of 15, minimum of 25 logged dives and certification as a TDI Nitrox Diver or equivalent (this programme may be combined with the TDI Nitrox Diver Course).

Course includes:  TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver Manual, 6 hour classroom session, TDI Certification & C-Card, 4 dives using Nitrox with a minimum accumulated time of 100 minutes, provision of Nitrox & Air fills, use of custom Nitrox tables and all paperwork.

DECOMPRESSION PROCEDURES DIVER

This course examines the theory, methods and procedures of planned stage decompression diving.  The objective of this course is to train divers how to plan and conduct a standard staged decompression dive not exceeding a maximum depth of 165 fsw / 50 msw unless taught in conjunction with the TDI Extended Range Course.  The most common equipment requirements, gear set-ups, decompression techniques and optional decompression mixtures (including oxygen and nitrox) are presented.

Pre-requisites:  Minimum of 50 open water dives with 10 dives over 30 msw, or the equivalent at the discretion of the instructor, in the environment in which the course is being presented.

Course includes:  TDI Decompression Procedures Diver Manual, 6 hours classroom session, TDI Certificate & C-Card, 4 dives using Air (Nitrox can be used if so qualified), use of Decompression tables and all paperwork.

EXTENDED RANGE DIVER

This course provides training and experience required to competently utilise air for dives up to 180 fsw / 55 msw that require staged decompression, utilising nitrox mixtures or oxygen during decompression.  The objective of this course is to train divers in the proper techniques, equipment requirements, and hazards of deep air diving to a maximum of 180 fsw / 55 msw.

Pre-requisites:  Minimum age of 18, minimum of 100 logged dives (25 must be deeper than 30 msw & certification as a TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver and TDI Decompression Procedures Diver (or equivalents).

Course Includes:  TDI Extended Range Diver Manual, 8 hours classroom session, TDI Certificate & C-Card, 4-6 dives using Nitrox for Decompression (all dives must be deeper than 30 msw with four divers deeper than 40 msw), provision of Nitrox & Air fills, use of custom computer tables and all paperwork.

ENTRY LEVEL TRIMIX DIVER

The TDI Trimix Course provides the training required to competently and safely utilise breathing gases containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilising nitrox and/or oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 200 fsw/ 60 msw.  The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures of utilising custom oxygen/helium/nitrogen mixtures as breathing gases.

Pre-requisites:  Minimum age of 18, minimum of 100 logged divers (25 must be deeper than 30 msw & certification as a TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver and TDI Decompression Procedures Diver (or equivalents).

Course includes:  TDI Entry Level Trimix Diver Manual, 8 hours classroom session, TDI Certificate & C-Card, 4-6 dives with an accumulated bottom time not less than 100 minutes using Helium based mixtures, Nitrox for Decompression, provision of Nitrox & Trimix fills, use of custom computer tables and all paperwork.

ADVANCED TRIMIX DIVER

The TDI Trimix Course provides the training required to competently and safely utilise breathing gases containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilising nitrox and/or oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 330 fsw / 100 msw.  The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures of utilising custom oxygen / helium / nitrogen mixtures as breathing gases.

Pre-requisites:  Minimum age of 18, minimum of 150 logged dives and certification as a TDI Extended Range Diver or TDI Entry Level Trimix Diver (or equivalent).

Course Includes:  TDI Advanced Trimix Diver Manual, 8 hours classroom session, TDI Certificate & C-Card, 4 dives using Helium based mixtures, Nitrox for Decompression, provision of Nitrox & Trimix fills, use of custom computer tables and all paperwork.
