 Sounds good, doesn't it!  Well what do you do now???  How do you sign up???

STEP 1.

Obtain Dive Medical from Dive Doctor. Contact us for a list of Doctors available in your area who are qualified to provide you with a Dive Medical.

STEP 2.

Pay a Deposit of only $100 (or payment in full if you prefer) and we will provide you with your take home study pack inclusive of:

• Full Colour Manual (yours to keep)
• Ring bound Log Book (yours to keep)
• Student Record Folder (to be kept at dive store on completion of your course)

(This step can be done prior to Step 1. if the student wishes to.  The deposit paid is fully refundable if the Dive Medical is not obtained as long as the take home study pack is returned to us in good order.)

STEP 3.

Decide on dates which suit you to do the course (to be undertaken in the following order):

1. Theory Session (approximately 6-8 hours) Any day or time to suit students.
2. Pool Session (approximately 4-6 hours) Any day to suit students and pool operators.
3. Shore Dives (approximately 6 hours - full day taking into account travel time and possible stops for food, etc.)  Usually available on a weekend, and dependant on tide times for suitability.
4. Boat Dives (approximately 6 hours – full day taking into account travel time and possible stops for food, etc.)  Usually available on a weekend and dependant on weather for suitability.

(Dive Dive Dive prepare a detailed calendar of events scheduled to assist in this planning stage.  Contact us if you wish to receive information from us by email.  If dates on this calendar do not suit you, talk to our friendly staff to see what arrangements can be made to fit in with your schedule.)

STEP 4.

Purchase your snorkelling equipment including:

·         Mask

·         Fins

·         Snorkel

·         Boots

(For hygiene and comfort reasons we strongly recommend students purchase their own personal snorkelling equipment.  If you trust us to teach you to dive, we would appreciate the opportunity to provide you with your top quality diving equipment as well.  Good quality package are available at Dive Dive Dive and prices start from approximately $200 (for a full set of mask, fins, boots and snorkel).  If necessary, some snorkelling equipment may be available for HIRE for your course at an extra cost $20/day.

STEP 5.

Enjoy your Open Water Diver Course on payment of the balance of the Course Cost $350 (Total  $450 = deposit + balance).  On successful completion of course we will process your International Certification Card.  

NB This is a serious course which requires students to competently complete skills as well as theory aspects.  Competency in all areas is a requirement before certification is presented to a student. Competency is assessed by the instructors of our courses and a pass in this course is not guaranteed unless all components are performed satisfactorily.
